Poetry Competition: Winter’s Dawn
It was an assiduous winters dawn,
as I noticed the first rays of the sun
gently pushing at the moon
reaching for his heavenly stars.
The skyline still lay amply laced
with silver stairs as mist began to rise,
in reverence I stood baring witness
to the magick unfolding before my eyes.
Melodramatic clouds gathered in linear formation
upon the cool jewelled horizon;
as I found myself wonder stricken
by the construct of creation.
The winds came and joined in the symphony,
harmonious melodies of life arose
as the unveiled beauty
of my dawn was exposed.
Staring befuddled at the sky;
captivated in this moment of elation
I thank the Gods
for this prepossessing fusion and revelation.
