Poetry Competition: My Earth
My Earth
I belong here
Where trees become green and gold
Raindrops spill on my little flowers
My leaves dry to the bitter cold
I belong there
Where the sounds of nature lie
I rise with the sun this morning
A beautiful story in the blue sky
I belong where
In the scent of roses
Or in the heart of the world
Where no one goes
I belong with the air
My grass becomes their ground
I never wanted to be hurt
But they leave me unfound
I belong everywhere
In you and in me
Try to keep me safe
And in time your children will see
I belong to repair
Help me be free
Don’t destroy or kill me
For in the future I will no be.
