Oneness Summit

Luke Martin and Morgause, representing the South African Pagan Council (SAPC) and the South African Pagan Rights Alliance (SAPRA) and Blythe Dhuku (SAPC), were joined by Donna Vos and Cindy Pelser of CAM at Freedom Park (Nelspruit) for the Oneness Summit on 18 April 2009, held by the Humanities Team in honour of Nobel Peace Price Laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

This festive occasion was a celebration Global Spiritual Leadership. Archbishop Tutu was received with warmth by an international crowd of 160 and was awarded this prestigious award.
The Humanities Team and Freedom Park Management arranged an afternoon and evening of world class entertainment; tribal dancers, a band, sopranos (Joseph Clarke, Yolandi Nortjie, the Gabo Moto Tenors, and an eclectic fusion of Opera, African and Rock Music). The Speaker was Prof. Shadrak Gutto of African Renaissance Center, UNISA and Gary Bailey was the Master of Ceremonies.

Archbishop Tutu
Steve Farrell of the Humanities Team gave a talk of the importance of the Archbishop’s work with Ubuntu, mentioning that it is time humanity cured the apartheid in its heart and began to realize that we are all ONE.
SAPRA and the SAPC were honoured to have been invited and to have attended this important day.

SAPC Exhibit
Together we represented South African Paganism at an Exhibition Stall in the Centre, and displayed Pagan idols, the Celebrating South African Paganism Book and Pagan artifacts, as well as handed out free literature to the visitors. A bound copy of A Pagan Witch’s Touchstone was given to the CEO of Freedom Park, representatives of Unisa and Kwa Zulu Natal Universities, as well as International Humanities Team Council Members.
